Custom orders for folk art or dolls.

If you find a doll or folk art piece you like in a gallery, contact me to work out a custom order!
Please understand that, as each piece is one of a kind,
your custom order will be one of a kind as well,
and not an exact replica of the one you choose.

When looking at the Galleries of past work, click on a photo to enlarge it.

Repurposed materials, nostalgic design.

I don't use molds for my dolls, because I love the sculpting and want to do it all from scratch!  Painting is done with artist quality acrylics, various shading mediums, and always finished with a good matte sealer to protect the piece.  Take care to avoid exposure to water and weather, or rough treatment.  Most of the dolls are tough, but they can still be damaged.

Please know that unless stated otherwise in a listing, neither the dolls nor folk art pieces are safe for small children.  Older children often enjoy the cloth and clay dolls, however, and I've made quite a few Christmas Gift Dolls to match a beloved Grandchild's hair and eye color.  .

This is my workroom.  The husband calls it The Scary Room, because it's seldom any tidier than this.  But I am inspired here.

About the artist

Hello!  I began making dolls in 2009, starting with gourd dolls.  One of these was published in Art Doll Quarterly (2011).  From gourds I progressed to mixed media and cloth & clay.  I taught a class on cloth & clay dolls at the 2014 UFDC convention in Texas, and have taught classes in my home.  My "Cinderella Izannah" was published in the December 2014 issue of Early American Life magazine. Two of my mixed media dolls were published in Prims, in the 2018 Spring/Summer issue.

I live in the mountains of eastern Arizona, in a little cabin in the woods with my best friend and husband of almost three decades.  Aside from making dolls, I love to work with textiles, to grow herbs, raise chickens, and hike through the pine forest all around us.
